Blogger Spotlight: Interview with Breanne from Flattery

This week we are excited to have Breanne Sewards in our Blogger Spotlight. Below is the interview we had with her. Visit her blog to know more about her and her style at flattery.ca.

( flatter.ca }
Hi Breanne, Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi! I’m 21 years old and I’ve been blogging for over three years. I’m obsessed with fashion, cats and coca cola.

Which part of Canada do you live in and what do you like the most about your city?
I live in Winnipeg, which is central Canada. The best thing about Winnipeg is being able to have snow on Christmas and very hot summers with lots of lakes to swim in!

What does a typical day look like for you?
Right now I’m job hunting, so I spend my days doing that while also working on my etsy shop and blog. This includes sewing, shipping packages at the postal office, taking outfit photos and doing product reviews! And of course, I always take time out to play with my cat Eevee,

What is the first thing you look for in a clothing item before you buy it?
It has to reflect the trends that I’m currently interested in. Then, it has to be something I could see myself wearing in a few different ways. Fit and price are also very important before deciding to buy.

{ Cute for Commute Mori Tote }
Which year do you think had the most interesting fashion trends? And Why?
2011. Maybe not interesting in a good way though… I remember once on lookbook , the entire front page was girls wearing long maxi pleated skirts! I think this year just had a lot of hugely popular trends that took over. Another example was the Jeffrey Campbell Litas.

What's your impression of Asian iCandy?
Very cute, girly product and I like how it mixes traditional fashions into the selection. The layout of the website is very clean and easy to navigate, so that’s a plus too!

Which one is your favorite item received from AiC and how did you style it?
I loved the Academic satchel bag. I styled it with my AiC red jacket, embossed sweater and leopard skirt. The bag had a vintage feel to it and was perfect for autumn because of the colours (brown,red and blue).

Last, let’s talk about music, what is on your playlist currently? Any favorite songs?
All I’ve been listening to lately is Fleet Foxes. They are my favourite folk band now. Some of their songs are extremely upbeat while others are soothing and calm. I love the instruments in their songs and the lyrics. My favourite song by them is Helplessness Blues.

Thank you so much Breanne! We love below outfit Breanne picked out from our store. Click here to find out all her favorites from Asian iCandy
